The 4"diameter connector that came with it would seem like a goofy thing to include if it was not to be hooked to a dust collector.

The blower is a 2 hp unit from a harbor freight dust collector, trashed the cyclone and bags. Pickup on the mill is homemade popriveted from sheetmetal, held in place with a bungee cord. The oddshape contraption on top of the pickup is a slip joint. It's homemade, bent up out of sheet metal and brazed togather.

As Pat said it's not going to work as a dust collector. You need special blowers designed for the operating conditions in dust collection. It would make an effective dust filtration system, using filters. Lots of shop built plans for same here and elsewhere on the net., 8:34 AM #4. Pete Shermet.
